Melissa Misencik, LISW-S

Owner

Melissa is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervision designation (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Development from The University of Akron and a Master of Science in Social Administration from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University. She also completed a Certificate in Gerontology.

Melissa began her career at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, before transitioning to the Seidman Cancer Center. She then entered private practice at Psychological and Behavioral Consultants (PsychBC) as a mental health clinician.

In October 2020, she started her own mental health private practice, Clear Perspective Therapy, LLC. She works primarily from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach, highlighting clients’ strengths. Her areas of interest include adjustment to illness, grief, and caregiver stress.

Tricia Fritz, LPCC-S

Trish specializes in supporting adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, low self-esteem, mood challenges, and life transitions—helping them discover relief from intrusive thoughts, build resilience, and a deeper sense of purpose.

With over 12 years of clinical experience across private practice and school-based counseling settings, Trish offers a safe, collaborative space where clients feel truly heard and understood. Her person-centered, integrative approach combines powerful evidence-based therapies tailored to each client's unique needs: including certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for youth trauma when needed, EMDRIA-trained in EMDR with extensive experience, and skilled in Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Polyvagal Theory-informed practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, as well as Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples work as needed.

Trish’s Christian faith quietly infuses her work with hope, creating a gentle, connected space for healing—welcoming clients who value this dimension while fully honoring diverse beliefs and backgrounds.

Rachel Madden, LISW-S

Rachel is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervision designation (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with concentrations in Philosophy and Sociology, and a Master of Social Work from Cleveland State University.

Rachel has over 15 years of clinical experience in community and inpatient settings. She has significant experience in the areas of case management, intake and assessment, counseling, crisis management, training, and clinical supervision.

Rachel’s areas of interest include working with the young adult population, women’s behavioral healthcare, phase of life transitions, and mood and anxiety disorders. She uses an eclectic approach, drawing on client’s unique strengths, goals, and value systems. Favored modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused, and Mindfulness strategies.

Mackenzie McCormick, LPC, ATR-P

Mackenzie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College.

Mackenzie’s goal as a therapist is to provide a space for clients to feel safe, appreciated, seen, heard and honored for the unique individual they are! Additionally, Mackenzie works to incorporate art and creative means into sessions, as art can truly be therapeutic and can further facilitate expression and conversation. She encourages creativity with the hopes of fostering healing, growth, and self discovery.

Mackenzie works primarily from a client centered approach, working alongside her clients through their journey in counseling. Her areas of interest include anxiety, self esteem, stress, and coping skills. She looks forward to working with you! Mackenzie is currently supervised by Amanda Hooley, LPC, ATR-BC.

Briar Rose - Registered Therapy Dog

Briar Rose is a resilient rescue pup with a bright personality and a comforting presence! 

Now a registered therapy dog, she joins her handler, Mackenzie, in the therapy office to help create a warm and supportive environment for clients.

Briar’s gentle demeanor and love for people make her a wonderful addition in the therapeutic space, and she brings a bit of lightness to the room!

Outside of work, Briar enjoys walks, playtime, cuddling, and greeting others with a wagging tail!

Mary Yund, LSW

Mary is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Kent State University. She also obtained her Master of Social Work and a Certificate in Trauma-Informed Practice from Case Western Reserve University. 

Mary’s goal as a therapist is to create space for compassion, connection, and growth. Her approach is person-centered and evidence-based, focusing on helping adults and adolescents build on their strengths to navigate challenges and create meaningful change in their lives.

Her background includes working with Neighborhood Family Practice, Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital, MetroHealth Cleveland Heights Behavioral Health Hospital, and University Hospitals’ Emergency Psychiatric Access team. In these roles, she has supported clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidal ideation, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and psychosis.

Mary strives to create a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental space where you can feel seen and supported regardless of your background, and is a proud LGBTQ+ ally and incorporates anti-racist foundations.
